Get answers to your reference questions by e-mail

September 19, 2008

Need help finding something when you’re off-campus?  You could pick up the phone (reference desk, 916-558-2461), but you’ve got another option too: e-mailAsk a Librarian e-mail reference service can take your question whenever you feel like sending it.

To send a question, go to the SCC Library homepage and click Ask a Librarian.  Fill out the simple form, and an SCC librarian will send out an answer to your question within 24 hours (though we can only answer you during library hours Monday-Friday).

We help students and faculty with questions about library databases, LOIS, the library catalog, and other information resources, including library assignments, research topics, authoritative articles, and reliable web sites. Here’s a big advantage over phone service: we can send you direct links to the resources you need, including full-text articles from our databases.  We look forward to hearing from you!
