Constitution Day ~ Library Display

A day does not go by without multiple references to the U.S. Constitution in the news – and probably in your email inbox.   But how much do you – and your students – really know about this most famous of all U.S. historical documents?

What does it mean to invoke the 5th Amendment?
Does the Constitution address same sex marriage?
Could you pass the naturalization test to become a U.S. citizen?

This Friday, September 17, is Constitution Day.  Find more questions about the Constitution in the current library display, as well as online.  Send your students to the second floor display to voice their opinions about Snyder v. Phelps, a Constitutional case coming before the Supreme Court on Oct. 6.  The library has plenty of books on topics related to the Constitution in LOIS, the library catalog.
